The DELOCK 81685 is a 2 m High Speed HDMI cable with a standard HDMI Type A (male) connector on one end and an HDMI Type C (Mini, male) connector on the other. With a maximum data transfer rate of 48 Gbit/s it supports resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 @ 60 Hz and is suitable for connecting cameras, tablets, laptops or other devices with a Mini HDMI port to TVs, monitors or capture devices. The cable features gold-plated contacts and a triple-shielded coaxial construction in a black jacket.

Advantages

The cable transmits both audio and video signals at high bandwidths, enabling 8K Ultra HD playback, high frame rate 3D and wide colour sampling formats. It supports Dynamic HDR and Dolby Vision for improved brightness, contrast and colour depth, and includes eARC support for direct, lossless transmission of multichannel audio to an external sound system. The compact Mini HDMI connector allows use with smaller cameras and portable devices while maintaining full HDMI feature support.

Suitable for

• Connecting cameras or camcorders with Mini HDMI to TVs or monitors
• Linking tablets or laptops with Mini HDMI output to external displays
• Home cinema setups requiring high-resolution video and multichannel audio
• Capture devices and recording workflows using Mini HDMI sources

When it may not be suitable

This cable requires devices that have HDMI Type C (Mini) and Type A (Standard) ports; it is not suitable for devices that use Micro HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort or proprietary connectors without an appropriate adapter. Achieving the highest resolutions and frame rates depends on the capabilities of both the source and the display hardware as well as their firmware and settings.

How to use

Connect the HDMI Type C (Mini) male end to the Mini HDMI output on your camera, tablet or laptop and plug the HDMI Type A (Standard) male end into the HDMI input of your TV, monitor or capture device. Ensure both devices are powered and set the display input to the correct HDMI port. For multichannel audio via eARC, enable eARC in the TV and audio system settings if required. Adjust resolution and refresh rate in the source or display settings to match the desired output, taking device capabilities into account.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your source device uses an HDMI Type C (Mini) output (not Micro HDMI or USB-C).
• Verify that both source and display hardware support the desired resolution and refresh rate.
• Check whether eARC, Dynamic HDR or Dolby Vision support is required and supported by your devices.
• Consider cable length and routing; 2 m is suitable for short to medium connections.

Recommendations

For best results, update device firmware where available, select matching resolution and refresh rate on both source and display, and enable eARC or HDR features in device menus when using advanced audio or HDR workflows.
