Hikvision DS-3E1318P-EI(B) 16-port Fast Ethernet PoE+ managed switch s Gigabit uplinkmi, 230W budget, rackmount

The Hikvision DS-3E1318P-EI(B) stands apart from typical entry-level PoE switches by combining 16 Fast Ethernet PoE+ ports with a substantial 230 W power budget and true Layer 2 management, all in a 1U rackmount form factor. It is built for surveillance and small business networks where cameras, phones, and access points need reliable power and centralized control without the cost of a full enterprise stack.

Highlights

• 16 × 10/100 Mbps PoE+ ports (IEEE 802.3af/at) with up to 30 W per port, total budget 230 W
• Dual gigabit uplinks: 1 × RJ45 and 1 × SFP for flexible backbone connectivity
• Managed Layer 2 features: VLAN (802.1Q, port-based), QoS (802.1p, DSCP), IGMP snooping, and more
• PoE watchdog automatically reboots unresponsive powered devices
• Extend mode pushes PoE and data up to 300 m on selected ports for long cable runs
• 6 kV surge protection on PoE ports safeguards against electrical spikes
• Fanless design for silent operation, ideal for offices and quiet environments
• Rackmount kit included; occupies 1U in a standard 19" rack

In daily use

Deploy this switch at the edge of a camera network or in a branch office. Connect up to 16 PoE cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones directly—no separate power injectors needed. The web-based GUI, CLI, SNMP, and Hik-Central integration give you full visibility and control over port status, PoE consumption, and VLAN segmentation. The PoE watchdog reduces truck rolls by automatically restarting frozen devices, while Extend mode lets you reach distant cameras beyond the standard 100 m limit. With a fanless metal enclosure, it runs silently and reliably in temperatures from -10 °C to 55 °C.
