Converged sieťový adaptér HP Enterprise Synergy 4820C 10/20/25Gb

HP Enterprise Synergy 4820C 10/20/25Gb Converged Network Adapter (MPN 876449-B21-RFB) is a multi-speed CNA designed for HPE Synergy server and blade infrastructures. The adapter supports 10Gb, 20Gb and 25Gb link speeds and provides hardware offload features to accelerate virtualized workloads and storage traffic. Built for data center environments, the card integrates with Synergy frames to deliver increased network throughput while helping reduce host CPU utilization for networking tasks.

Advantages

The adapter provides flexible multi-rate connectivity allowing deployment in mixed-speed networks without replacing hardware. Hardware offloads for protocols commonly used in virtualization and storage reduce CPU overhead and improve packet processing efficiency. Native compatibility with HPE Synergy systems simplifies integration and management within composable infrastructure. The compact design fits blade and server form factors used in Synergy solutions and supports convergence of LAN and storage traffic over a single interface.

Suitable for

• Data center networking in HPE Synergy frames
• Virtualized server environments requiring reduced CPU overhead
• Converged LAN and storage access, including NVMe and iSCSI use cases
• Mixed-speed network deployments (10Gb, 20Gb, 25Gb)

How to use

Install the Synergy 4820C in the designated adapter bay of an HPE Synergy compute module according to HPE installation instructions. Ensure the Synergy frame firmware and management tools are updated to supported versions for full compatibility. Configure link speed and offload settings in the host operating system or hypervisor network interface settings; use vendor drivers and firmware releases that match the MPN to enable all hardware features. Connect the adapter to appropriate switches or fabric modules supporting 10/20/25Gb links and verify link negotiations and network paths after installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use certified HPE drivers and firmware, place latency-sensitive workloads on appropriately provisioned network fabrics, and monitor link utilization and offload metrics. When deploying mixed-speed networks, validate switch port configurations and consider using auto-negotiation where supported to ensure stable connectivity.
