HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 Server 960 GB Rack 2U Intel Xeon Silver 4509Y 2,6 GHz 64 GB DDR5-SDRAM

HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 server configured with an Intel® Xeon® Silver 4509Y processor at 2.6 GHz, 64 GB DDR5 memory (2x32 GB), dual HPE 480 GB SATA 6G read-intensive SSDs and a total of 960 GB storage in a 2U rack chassis. The system includes an HPE MR408i-o Gen11 storage controller with 4 GB cache, eight small form factor drive bays, redundant 1000 W hot-plug power supplies, four standard fans and a 3/3/3 warranty. Designed to deliver balanced compute, memory and storage capacity for general-purpose server workloads.

Advantages

The DL380 Gen11 provides a compact 2U rack form factor with redundant 1000 W power supplies for improved uptime, hardware RAID support via the MR408i-o controller for reliable storage management, and DDR5 memory for increased memory bandwidth. Preconfigured components (CPU, memory, SSDs and controller) simplify deployment and reduce setup time.

Suitable for

• Virtualization hosts and small-to-medium hypervisor clusters
• Database and application servers with moderate I/O
• File, print and infrastructure services
• Edge and remote office deployments requiring compact rack servers

How to use

Install the DL380 Gen11 in a standard 19-inch rack occupying 2U of space. Mount rails according to the chassis documentation, connect redundant power supplies to separate power circuits where possible, and attach network and storage cabling. Configure RAID arrays through the HPE Smart Storage Administrator or the MR408i-o controller interface, install your preferred operating system or hypervisor, and load workloads. Monitor system health via HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) and follow vendor guidance for firmware updates.

Recommendations

For best reliability, place each 1000 W power supply on a separate UPS or power feed, keep firmware up to date, and use HPE tools for monitoring and drive firmware management. Size memory and storage configurations to match workload requirements and consider additional cooling if deployed in constrained or high-density racks.
