HPE ProLiant Gen11 Server 960 GB Rack 1U Intel Xeon E-2436 32 GB DDR5

The HPE ProLiant Gen11 server 960 GB Rack 1U Intel Xeon E-2436 32 GB DDR5 is a compact rack-mounted system designed to deliver balanced compute, memory and storage for small to medium data centre deployments. It integrates an Intel Xeon E-2436 processor running at 2.9 GHz, 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a total of 960 GB of internal storage within a 1U chassis. The server supports an 800 W power supply and is built to provide reliable, space-efficient performance where rack density and predictable throughput are required.

Advantages

This 1U rack server combines a modern Intel Xeon E-series CPU with DDR5 memory to improve single-thread and multi-thread workload responsiveness compared with previous-generation platforms. Its 32 GB of DDR5 RAM enables higher memory bandwidth for virtualization and transactional applications, while the 960 GB internal storage provides immediate capacity for operating systems, applications and local caching. The unit's 800 W power supply and rack form factor are intended to simplify integration into existing server cabinets and to support consistent power delivery under typical business loads.

Suitable for

• Virtualization hosts for small to medium business workloads
• Application servers for databases, web services and middleware
• Edge computing and remote office deployments with limited rack space
• Development, testing and CI/CD build servers

Key specifications

• Processor: Intel Xeon E-2436, 2.9 GHz
• Memory: 32 GB DDR5
• Internal storage capacity: 960 GB
• Chassis type: 1U rack-mount
• Power supply rating: 800 W

How to use

Install the server into a suitable 19-inch rack using the included mounting rails and ensure proper airflow and clearance according to rack layout guidelines. Connect redundant power feeds or a single 800 W power source as appropriate for your redundancy plan. Populate network connections to your management LAN and production networks, then deploy your operating system and hypervisor of choice. Allocate memory and storage according to workload requirements and configure management tools for firmware and health monitoring to maintain operational stability.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, keep firmware and drivers up to date, monitor thermal conditions in the rack, and align memory and storage configuration with the intended workload. Use redundant power and network paths for critical services, and schedule regular backups for the data stored on the 960 GB internal storage.
