ICY Dock EZ Slide MB998TP-B - nosič pre pamäťový disk (caddy) - 2.5 (6,4 cm) (MB998TP-B)

The Icy Dock MB998TP-B is a silver storage drive tray designed to hold 7mm height drives. With compact external dimensions of 71.9mm width, 117.4mm depth and 10.1mm height and a lightweight construction of 0.0459 kg, the tray provides a space-efficient solution for mounting and managing thin 7mm HDDs or SSDs in compatible drive bays or enclosures. The tray's slim form factor and neutral silver finish make it suitable for systems where minimal profile and tidy drive organisation are required.

Advantages

The tray's low height and precise dimensions make it compatible with drives that require a 7mm mounting profile, enabling secure retention while maintaining a small footprint. Its lightweight build allows easy handling during installation and removal. The neutral silver colour helps integrate the tray visually into a variety of system interiors without adding bulk. The product focuses on basic mechanical support and alignment for thin drives, simplifying drive swaps and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Mounting 7mm height SATA HDDs or SSDs inside compatible drive bays and enclosures
• Systems or builds that require low-profile drive trays for space-constrained setups
• Drive replacement or upgrades where a slim mechanical adapter is needed

How to use

Insert a compatible 7mm height drive into the tray following the drive alignment features provided by the tray. Secure the drive as required by the mounting points or screws used in your specific enclosure or bay. Slide or place the assembled tray and drive into the target bay or adapter interface until it seats properly. Remove the tray by reversing the installation steps when servicing or replacing drives.

Recommendations

Verify that the host enclosure or bay supports a tray with these external dimensions and a 7mm drive height before installation. Handle drives and the tray on a static-safe surface and use appropriate screws or fasteners compatible with your drive and enclosure. Avoid forcing the tray into incompatible bays to prevent mechanical damage.
