The InLine® Slim Cat.6A S/FTP patch cable seriescombines highest network performance with maximum space and energy efficiency. Thanks to the particularly slim design with AWG28 conductors, these cables enable a significantly higher port density in network cabinets and ensure improved air circulation, which increases cooling and efficiency.

In contrast to conventional, thinner AWG32 cables, this cable supports full Cat.6A transmission quality at up to 500 MHzand 4PPoEwith up to87 watts. This makes it the ideal solution for professional applications where a combination of space-saving, PoE capability and high performance is required.

The use of high-quality copper conductors minimizes signal loss and ensures a reliable network connection - even over distances of up to 30 metres. The S/FTP double shielding reliably protects the cable from electromagnetic interference.

How to use

Route the slim Cat.6A S/FTP cable through the rack or conduit, allowing for gentle bends to preserve the TPE jacket and internal pairs. Terminate both ends into RJ‑45 jacks or patch panels wired 1:1 according to T568B. Use the moulded RJ‑45 plugs to connect switches, patch panels or network devices directly. Verify link speed and PoE function in the network equipment settings; the cable supports automatic Power over Ethernet negotiation and will carry up to 87 W when supported by the connected devices.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation, maintain the maximum recommended length of 30 m for 10G links, and ensure connectors and patch panels are compatible with Cat.6A S/FTP cabling. In environments with strict fire-safety requirements, use the LSZH jacket to reduce smoke and halogen emissions.
