Inštalačný kábel ShiverPeaks Cat 8 S/FTP LSZH 2000 MHz, model 08-85107

Shielded installation cable ShiverPeaks Cat 8 S/FTP LSZH 2000 MHz, model 08-85107, is a high-performance network cable specified for operation up to 2000 MHz. It features S/FTP construction — an overall braided screen plus foil-wrapped individual twisted pairs — and a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket. The cable is intended for use in structured cabling systems, patch panels and server connections where high data rates and reduced electromagnetic interference are required for reliable Ethernet and data center links.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding design combines an overall screen with foil on each twisted pair to provide strong protection against external electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The LSZH jacket reduces toxic and corrosive emissions in case of fire, making the cable suitable for installations in enclosed commercial or industrial spaces. The Cat 8 performance class and 2000 MHz specification support very high-frequency signals and are suitable for short-range, high-bandwidth applications typical in modern data center and enterprise networks.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet links in data centers and server rooms
• Structured horizontal and backbone cabling in commercial buildings
• Patch panels, switches and server connections requiring shielded cabling
• Environments where reduced smoke and halogen emissions are required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 8
• Construction: S/FTP (overall braided screen + individual pair foil)
• Jacket type: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Specified frequency: up to 2000 MHz
• Application: high-speed Ethernet, data center and structured cabling

How to use

Install the cable following standard structured cabling practices, maintaining appropriate bend radius and avoiding sharp kinks. Terminate the cable with connectors and shielded components rated for Cat 8 and compatible with S/FTP construction to preserve shielding continuity. Use proper grounding and bonding for the overall screen at designated points in the network to ensure optimal electromagnetic protection. For best results in data center links, keep cable lengths within recommended limits for Cat 8 channel or link configurations.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, pair this ShiverPeaks Cat 8 S/FTP LSZH cable with Cat 8-compliant connectors, shielded patch panels and switches. Ensure physical handling avoids exceeding the cable's minimum bend radius, and perform certification testing after installation to verify compliance with performance requirements up to 2000 MHz.
