Intellinet 8-port Fast Ethernet Office switch, veľkosť na stôl, kov, IEEE 802.3az (energeticky efektívny Ethernet), Box

The Intellinet 8-Port Fast Ethernet Office Switch is a compact metal desktop switch providing eight 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports for reliable wired connectivity. Compliant with IEEE 802.3 standards and featuring a MAC address table of 1024 entries, the switch is designed for small and medium-sized business environments where durability and energy efficiency are required.

Advantages

The metal enclosure offers increased durability compared with plastic housings, making the switch suitable for tougher locations such as wiring closets, warehouses or light-industrial areas. Built-in IEEE 802.3az Green Ethernet functionality reduces power to idle ports and adapts power output based on cable length, lowering overall energy consumption. Auto MDI/MDIX and plug-and-play operation simplify installation and remove the need for special uplink cables or configuration.

Suitable for

• Small and medium office networks
• Connecting desktops, laptops, printers and servers at 10/100 Mbps
• Expanding existing Ethernet networks or adding a desk-side switch
• Environments requiring a more durable metal enclosure (closets, warehouses)

Key specifications

• Ports: 8 × Fast Ethernet (10/100) RJ-45
• Standards: IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3x; IEEE 802.3az energy-efficient Ethernet
• MAC address table: 1024 entries
• Auto MDI/MDIX: Yes (no special uplink cable required)
• Form factor: Desktop, metal enclosure
• Color: Black
• Weight: 0.5625 kg

How to use

Place the switch on a stable desktop or mount it inside an appropriate equipment shelf. Connect each device using standard Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cables to the RJ-45 ports. The switch is plug-and-play: once powered, it automatically detects link status and configures port operation, including auto-negotiation of 10/100 Mbps and Auto MDI/MDIX for correct cable orientation.

Recommendations

Use quality shielded or unshielded twisted-pair Ethernet cables (Cat5e or Cat6) for reliable 100 Mbps links, keep the switch in a ventilated location free from excessive dust or moisture, and connect only compatible 10/100 devices. For installations in harsher environments, secure the unit on a stable surface to avoid impact; no configuration is required for standard office deployments.
