Interný pevný disk Toshiba MG11ACA22TE 22 TB 7200 RPM 1024 MB 3,5 palca SATA III

The Toshiba MG11ACA22TE is a 3.5-inch internal hard drive offering 22 TB capacity, 7200 RPM spindle speed and a 1024 MB cache. Designed for data centre and enterprise environments, it uses Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) and a SATA III 6 Gbit/s interface to provide high-capacity, high-throughput storage suitable for servers, workstations and network-attached storage (NAS). The drive implements Toshiba's second-generation Flux Control Microwave-assisted Magnetic Recording (FC-MAMR™) technology in a helium-sealed, 10-disk design to achieve high areal density and improved power efficiency.

Advantages

The MG11ACA22TE combines large capacity with a 7200 RPM performance profile and a large 1024 MB buffer to support heavy sequential workloads and large-scale storage pools. Its helium-sealed 10-disk construction and FC-MAMR technology enable higher storage density while maintaining enterprise-class reliability, with a rated MTBF of 2.5 million hours. Models with Sanitize Instant Erase (SIE) or Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) options are available to address data security requirements.

Suitable for

• Enterprise servers and data centre storage arrays
• High-capacity NAS systems
• Workstations requiring large archival or backup volumes
• Sequential-heavy workloads such as backup, cold storage and media libraries

When it may not be suitable

This drive is optimised for high-capacity and sequential performance rather than low-latency random I/O typical of high-performance databases or transactional systems. Systems with strict low-latency SSD requirements or limited physical space for 3.5-inch drives may require alternative storage options.

How to use

Install the MG11ACA22TE into a compatible 3.5-inch drive bay and connect it to the host motherboard or RAID controller via a SATA III port and power connector. Configure the drive in the operating system or storage controller according to your intended role (single drive, RAID array, or storage pool). For optimal performance in enterprise deployments, follow standard practices for RAID configuration, firmware updates and drive monitoring. If using SIE or SED variants, enable and manage encryption and sanitization features through your platform's tools.

What to consider before purchase

• Requires a 3.5-inch drive bay and SATA III (6 Gbit/s) connectivity
• Optimised for sequential workloads; assess suitability for random I/O demands
• Check compatibility with your RAID controller or NAS for large-capacity drives
• Decide if SED or SIE security options are needed for your deployment

Recommendations

Use the Toshiba MG11ACA22TE for large-scale archival, backup and media storage where high capacity and efficient power-per-terabyte are priorities. Combine with appropriate RAID levels, monitoring and firmware maintenance to maximise reliability and lifetime.
