Irix Edge CPL 55mm cirkulárny polarizačný filter (IFE-CPL-55)

Where most polarizers merely darken skies, the Irix Edge CPL 55mm reshapes how your lens sees glare, reflection, and colour. Built around SR optical glass with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, it cuts through haze and surface shine without shifting colour neutrality — a common flaw in budget filters. The slim aluminium frame keeps vignetting at bay even on wide-angle lenses, while the hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings shrug off water, oil, and fingerprints. Rotate the front ring through 360° to dial in exactly the right polarisation effect, from deeper blue skies to clearer water and glass. With a 55mm front thread, you can stack another filter or keep your lens cap in place. This is a tool for photographers who want control, not just protection.

Highlights

• Circular polarizer for 55mm filter threads
• SR optical glass with multi-layer anti-reflective coating
• Hydrophobic, oleophobic, and anti-scratch coatings
• Slim aluminium frame reduces vignetting
• 360° rotation for precise polarisation control
• Front 55mm thread for stacking or lens cap
• Neutral colour rendition — no colour cast
• Reduces glare and reflections, enhances saturation

In daily use

Mount the Irix Edge CPL on any lens with a 55mm filter thread and you immediately notice the difference when shooting landscapes, water, or through glass. Rotate the ring until reflections vanish and colours gain depth. The slim profile matters on wide-angle lenses, where thick filters cause dark corners. The coatings make cleaning quick — a quick wipe removes water spots or fingerprints. Because it's a circular polarizer, autofocus and metering work normally with DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. Expect a light loss of about 1–2 stops, which is standard for polarizers and easy to compensate in-camera. The front thread accepts a 55mm lens cap or another filter, so you don't have to remove it between shots.
