Why choose it

The Irix Edge UV Protector SR 62mm combines advanced multi-coating technology with rugged construction. Its hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings repel water and oils, keeping the filter clean and easy to maintain. The anti-reflective coatings minimize flare and ghosting, preserving image quality even in challenging lighting. With a slim anodized aluminum frame, it avoids vignetting on wide-angle lenses while providing robust protection against scratches, dust, and impacts.

Ideal use cases

• Protecting the front element of your lens from scratches, dust, and accidental impacts
• Reducing atmospheric haze in landscape and outdoor photography
• Shooting in humid or wet conditions thanks to water-repellent coatings
• Use as a permanent lens protector due to its color neutrality and high light transmission

Good to know

The filter is color neutral and introduces no exposure compensation, so you can leave it on your lens at all times. Its front thread allows stacking additional filters or attaching a lens cap. The SR optical glass is highly impact resistant, offering peace of mind when shooting in dynamic environments. The slim frame design ensures compatibility with wide-angle lenses without vignetting.
