JULBO SHIELD Spectron 4 okuliare

High-altitude sunlight and intense glare can cause eye fatigue, snow blindness, and long-term damage. The JULBO SHIELD Spectron 4 Glasses are built to shield your eyes in extreme mountain environments, where UV radiation is at its most dangerous and light reflection off snow and ice is relentless. With Category 4 lenses and a wrap-around frame with removable side shields, these glasses provide complete protection for mountaineering, glacier travel, and high-alpine hiking.

Who is it for

Mountaineers, alpinists, and high-altitude trekkers who need maximum glare reduction and total UV protection. Also suitable for trail runners and hikers in bright, exposed terrain where standard sunglasses fall short.

Main features

• Spectron 4 polycarbonate lenses: Category 4 protection with only 5% visible light transmission, ideal for extreme brightness at altitude or on glaciers.
• 100% UV protection: Blocks all UVA, UVB, and UVC rays, preventing cumulative eye damage.
• Removable side shields: Extra lateral protection against reflected light and wind; can be detached for lower-light conditions or everyday use.
• Grilamid TR90 frame: Lightweight, flexible, and durable, with a comfortable fit for long days.
• Grip Tech temples and Nose Grip: Non-slip rubber inserts keep the glasses securely in place during intense activity.
• Air Flow ventilation: Integrated vents reduce fogging, maintaining clear vision on strenuous climbs.
• Cord attachment: Allows use of a retaining cord (not included) to prevent loss in challenging terrain.

Tips

Category 4 lenses are not suitable for driving or road use, as they transmit too little light for safe vision in normal conditions. Use them only in very bright environments such as high mountains or glaciers. When not in use, store the glasses in a hard case to protect the lenses from scratches. Clean with a microfiber cloth and mild soap; avoid abrasive materials that can damage the flash coating.
