Kábel U/UTP Cat.5e B2ca LSOH 305m KIU5LSOH305B Alantec

The Alantec Cable U/UTP cat.5e B2ca LSOH 305m is a twisted-pair network cable designed for reliable Ethernet connectivity over medium distances. With a 305-meter reel and a U/UTP (unshielded) construction, this Cat5e cable supports common network installations where cost-effective data transmission and basic crosstalk protection are required. The B2ca fire classification and LSOH (low smoke, zero halogen) jacket provide enhanced safety characteristics for installations in public and commercial buildings.

Advantages

This Cat5e U/UTP cable offers consistent signal quality for Fast Ethernet and many Gigabit Ethernet applications within standard distances, while the unshielded design simplifies handling and termination. The LSOH outer sheath reduces toxic gas and smoke emission in case of fire, and the B2ca rating meets stricter reaction-to-fire requirements for use in higher-risk or regulated indoor environments. The 305 m length on a single drum reduces the need for splices and speeds up deployment.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in offices and commercial premises
• Horizontal LAN runs for workstations and network switches
• Data cabling in educational and healthcare facilities where low-smoke materials are preferred
• Small server rooms and patch panels within standard Cat5e distance limits

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e (unshielded U/UTP)
• Conductor: 4 twisted pairs, solid copper conductors
• Length: 305 meters on a drum
• Jacket type: LSOH (low smoke, zero halogen)
• Fire performance: B2ca reaction-to-fire class
• Typical applications: Ethernet networks up to Cat5e performance limits
• Installation environment: indoor, dry and ventilated spaces

How to use

Install the cable following standard structured cabling practices: route the cable along trays or in conduit where required, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling tension, and keep separation from sources of electromagnetic interference. Terminate each pair to compatible RJ45 keystone jacks or patch panels rated for Cat5e performance, and test each run with a certified cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance parameters such as wire map, attenuation and near-end crosstalk.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, maintain maximum run lengths within Ethernet standards, use proper cable management to prevent crushing or kinking, and store remaining cable on the drum to avoid deformation. Choose installation locations that comply with building codes for B2ca and LSOH materials, and perform post-installation testing to document link performance before putting networks into service.
