Káblový kit INTEL Slim SAS SFF-8654 na Slim SAS SFF-8654 pre serverové systémy M50CYP1UR204 M50CYP1UR212

Intel cable kit for connecting Slim SAS SFF-8654 to Slim SAS SFF-8654 ports provides a direct internal SAS link between compatible server systems. Designed for use in systems identified as M50CYP1UR204 and M50CYP1UR212, the cable assembly uses the Slim SAS SFF-8654 form factor to connect controllers, host adapters, or drive enclosures that expose matching internal ports. The cable supports typical SAS storage topologies and is intended for internal server cabling where a slim, high-density connector is required.

Advantages

The cable kit offers a compact connection with the Slim SAS SFF-8654 connector standard, enabling high-density internal routing inside server chassis. It reduces cable bulk compared with larger SAS connectors and provides a direct point-to-point SAS link for improved signal integrity in short internal runs. The design is compatible with servers that expose Slim SAS internal ports and is suitable for maintaining tidy internal layouts and reliable storage interconnects.

Key specifications

• Connector type: Slim SAS SFF-8654 to Slim SAS SFF-8654
• Application: Internal server SAS connection
• Topology: Point-to-point internal SAS link
• Compatibility: Servers and devices with matching Slim SAS internal ports
• Form factor: Slim/high-density internal cable

How to use

Install the cable by powering down the server and opening the chassis according to the system manufacturer’s service instructions. Align each Slim SAS SFF-8654 connector with the corresponding internal port on the controller, host adapter, or drive enclosure, and insert the connector until it seats securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and interference with fans or other components, then close the chassis and power the system on. Verify the connection in system firmware or operating system storage management utilities to confirm device recognition and proper link status.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short internal runs within the same chassis or adjacent enclosures; avoid using internal Slim SAS cables for long external connections. When replacing or installing, follow ESD precautions and the server vendor’s guidelines for cable routing and bend radius. Confirm that both endpoints expose Slim SAS SFF-8654 internal ports before installation.
