Káblový splitter/combiner Telegärtner J00060A0072

The Telegärtner J00060A0072 cable splitter/combiner (VM 8-8 module) is intended for joining and extending shielded and unshielded twisted-pair installation cables (Cat.5e, Cat.6, Cat.6A, Cat.7, Cat.7A) at transition or consolidation points, for cable extensions, repair of damaged cables, and cable rerouting. Constructed from durable ABS and stainless steel, the unit provides a compact, grey housing suitable for both professional and residential installations and maintains transmission characteristics when used as specified.

Advantages

The VM 8-8 module allows permanent connection of multiple 8-wire cable segments (depending on module type, up to 12 incoming and 12 outgoing cables) without significant reduction of transmission performance or shortening of maximum link lengths. Using the module avoids re-laying existing structured cabling, which reduces labour and alteration costs. The materials (ABS synthetic housing and stainless steel components) offer mechanical robustness and long-term stability in typical installation environments.

Suitable for

• Joining or extending Cat.5e–Cat.7A twisted-pair installation cables
• Transition points and consolidation points in structured cabling
• Repairing or bypassing damaged cable segments
• Cable rerouting where re‑installation of entire cable runs is impractical

How to use

Install the VM 8-8 module at the chosen transition or consolidation point according to local cabling standards. Terminate each incoming and outgoing twisted-pair cable onto the corresponding contacts of the module following manufacturer instructions and maintain correct pair alignment and shielding practices for shielded cable types. Once all connections are made and verified, secure the housing and, if required, provide strain relief and grounding per installation guidelines. Test the link for continuity and performance to confirm transmission characteristics meet required specifications.

Recommendations

Use appropriate tools and test equipment to verify correct termination and performance after installation. For shielded cable types ensure proper shield continuity and grounding. Do not exceed the recommended number of connections for the specific module variant to avoid potential signal degradation.
