Káblový zámok HP Nano Keyed Security Lock 1AJ39UT — kľúčový káblový zámok pre notebooky/zariadenia

HP Nano Keyed Security Lock (model 1AJ39UT) is a compact keyed cable lock designed to secure laptops and other devices equipped with a nano security slot. The product combines a small lock head that fits nano slots with a flexible steel cable to provide a physical deterrent against opportunistic device theft in offices, schools, libraries and other shared environments. The lock is intended for temporary or semi-permanent use during device operation, storage or transit.

Advantages

The lock head’s reduced size fits devices with a nano security slot while maintaining mechanical robustness. A braided steel cable resists cutting and provides flexibility for anchoring to desks, heavy fixtures or fixed points. Supplied with a dedicated key, the mechanism allows quick locking and unlocking without complex tools. The compact design minimises bulk on the device and supports repeated daily use in multi-user environments.

Suitable for

• Laptops and ultraportables with a nano security slot
• All-in-one PCs and small form-factor devices that include a compatible nano slot
• Shared workstations in offices, classrooms and libraries
• Temporary protection during device storage, transport or public use

Key specifications

• Compatibility: devices with a nano security slot
• Lock type: keyed mechanical lock
• Cable material: braided steel
• Cable length: flexible length suitable for anchoring to furniture or fixtures
• Lock head size: compact nano-format designed for minimal protrusion

How to use

Insert the lock head into the device’s nano security slot and turn the supplied key to engage the locking mechanism. Loop the steel cable around a fixed, immovable object such as a desk leg or anchor point and secure the free end of the cable to the lock head if applicable. Verify that the lock is engaged before leaving the device unattended and keep the key in a secure place to prevent unauthorised access. To remove, insert the key and rotate to disengage the lock, then withdraw the lock head from the slot.

Recommendations

Use the lock as part of a broader security approach: combine physical locking with device-level protections such as strong passwords, full-disk encryption and asset tracking. Anchor the cable to permanent furniture or certified anchor points to reduce the risk of dragging or levering. Keep spare keys in a controlled location and do not rely on the lock as the sole method of protection for high-value unattended equipment.
