The Razer RC21-02040300-R3M1 Orange Transparent key switch pack includes 36 individual switches designed for mechanical keyboards. These tactile switches combine a distinctive orange, transparent housing with a responsive actuation profile intended for gaming and fast typing. The set provides enough units for partial to full keyboard upgrades and is compatible with standard MX-style mechanical switch sockets.

Advantages

These switches deliver tactile feedback with a noticeable bump at the actuation point while maintaining a smooth travel thanks to the transparent housing and precision stem. The orange color provides visual clarity for backlighting and a consistent aesthetic across the keyboard. Sold in a pack of 36, they offer a practical quantity for replacing a cluster of keys or customizing specific zones, and their construction aims for longevity under frequent key presses.

Suitable for

• Mechanical keyboard key replacement and customization
• Gaming setups that benefit from tactile, responsive switches
• Enthusiasts building compact or tenkeyless keyboards
• Repairing clusters of worn or damaged switches

Key specifications

• Quantity: 36 switches per pack
• Switch type: Tactile, MX-style mechanical switch
• Housing appearance: Orange and transparent
• Compatibility: Standard MX-compatible mechanical keyboard sockets and keycaps
• Intended use: Gaming and typing with tactile feedback

How to use

To install these switches, remove keycaps from your keyboard and use a switch puller or plate removal method appropriate for your keyboard design. If your keyboard has hot-swap sockets, simply pull the old switch straight out and insert the new switch until it seats. For soldered PCBs, desolder the old switches first, then solder the replacement switches in place, ensuring correct orientation of the pins. Refit keycaps and test each switch for proper actuation before regular use.

Recommendations

When customizing backlighting, the transparent housing improves RGB diffusion; pair these switches with compatible keycaps and stabilizers for best results. If soldering, follow standard ESD precautions and verify pin alignment to avoid bent leads. For long-term performance, avoid spilling liquids and periodically check stabilizers and keycap seating.
