Kliešte na drôt Knipex 13 05 160

The Knipex 13 05 160 needle-nose pliers are designed for cable work and precision tasks in tight spaces. Made from forged chromium-vanadium electric steel with oil hardening, these pliers combine durability and a lightweight 160 mm design with plastic handles for comfortable gripping. They include precision cutting edges that are induction hardened to approx. 60 HRC and built-in stripping holes and a crimping area for ferrules.

Advantages

Precision cutting edges hardened to roughly 60 HRC provide long-lasting sharpness for cutting soft, medium and hard wire. The forged vanadium electric steel construction and oil hardening improve strength and wear resistance. Integrated precision stripping holes and a dedicated crimping area for end sleeves (ferrules) make the tool multifunctional for cable preparation and finishing. The 160 mm length and lightweight design ensure access to confined spaces and easier handling during fine work.

Suitable for

• Gripping and bending wire in tight spaces
• Cutting soft, medium and hard wire
• Precision stripping of insulation from electrical wires
• Crimping end sleeves (ferrules) on cable ends
• Electrical installation and repair work

How to use

Hold the pliers by the insulated plastic handles and position the narrow jaws around the wire for gripping or bending. For cutting, place the wire close to the cutting edges and squeeze the handles firmly to shear through the conductor. Use the precision stripping holes to remove insulation by inserting the conductor into the appropriate hole and pulling the insulation away while maintaining light pressure. For crimping ferrules, place the prepared ferrule in the designated crimping area and compress the handles until the ferrule is securely crimped.

Recommendations

Use the pliers only for their intended purposes: gripping, bending, cutting, stripping and crimping electrical wires. Avoid cutting hardened materials beyond the tool's specification to prevent damage. Keep the tool clean and lightly lubricated on the pivot to maintain smooth operation and periodically check cutting edges for wear. Observe appropriate personal protective equipment and disconnect power sources before working on live circuits.
