Koaxiálny konektor F-Typ ShiverPeaks BS85008-A

The ShiverPeaks BS85008-A is a male F-type coaxial connector with a 6.5 mm outer diameter designed for reliable signal transmission in television and satellite installations. Sold individually, this connector provides a compact, industry-standard interface for coaxial cables and equipment where a secure threaded connection is required. Its metal construction and standard dimensions make it suitable for both consumer and professional wiring tasks where continuity and low signal loss are important.

Advantages

This male F-type connector offers a standardized threaded connection that ensures stable mechanical contact and consistent electrical performance. The 6.5 mm diameter matches common coaxial cable outer conductors for straightforward installation, reducing the need for adapters. Its metal body improves shielding against interference and supports long-term durability in wall outlets, set-top boxes, satellite LNBs and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Connecting coaxial cables to TV tuners and set-top boxes
• Satellite dish LNB and multiswitch connections
• Home and professional AV distribution panels
• Repairing or replacing damaged F-type terminations on coaxial runs

Key specifications

• Connector type: Male F-type (threaded)
• Outer diameter: 6.5 mm
• Material: metal body with conductive inner contact (metallic construction for shielding)
• Contact interface: coaxial center conductor engagement suitable for standard RG coaxial cables
• Application: TV, satellite and broadband RF signal connections

How to use

Prepare the coaxial cable by stripping the outer jacket and shielding to expose the center conductor and ensuring the correct length for the connector design. Slide the connector onto the prepared cable end so the center conductor engages the inner contact and the outer conductor is captured by the connector body. Thread the connector onto the mating device or female F-type socket and hand-tighten; use a torque wrench or appropriate tool if a specific torque is required to avoid over-tightening. Check the connection for mechanical stability and verify signal quality with a suitable meter or receiver.

Recommendations

Use connectors matched to the cable type and maintain clean contact surfaces to minimize signal loss. For permanent or outdoor installations, ensure weatherproofing at the junctions and avoid excessive bending of the coaxial cable near the connector to preserve shielding and impedance characteristics.
