Konektor RJ45 kovový ShiverPeaks BS08-51005 samec 8,5 mm

The ShiverPeaks BS08-51005 metallic RJ45 wire connector is a male connector designed for secure network cable terminations. Manufactured in Germany, the connector features an inner diameter of 8.5 mm to accommodate typical shielded and unshielded Ethernet cables and to provide a reliable mechanical and electromagnetic connection. Its metal construction offers increased durability and improved shielding compared to plastic alternatives.

Advantages

The metallic housing provides mechanical strength and enhanced electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, improving signal integrity in environments with potential interference. Its precisely machined inner diameter ensures a stable fit for compatible cables, while the male RJ45 interface maintains standard electrical contact for network signals. The German manufacturing standard contributes to consistent dimensional accuracy and material quality.

Suitable for

• Assembly of Ethernet patch cables and custom network leads
• Use in office or industrial network installations requiring improved shielding
• Replacement of worn or damaged RJ45 male connectors on terminated cables
• Applications where durable metal connectors are preferred over plastic

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ45 male
• Material: metallic housing
• Inner diameter: 8.5 mm
• Shielding: conductive metal for EMI/RFI protection
• Compatibility: standard 8P8C Ethernet cable terminations
• Intended use: network cable termination and mechanical strain protection

How to use

Strip the cable jacket and prepare the individual conductors according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Insert the conductors into the RJ45 contacts and crimp or terminate them using the appropriate tool or insert method. Slide the metallic connector onto the cable so that the inner diameter seats over the cable jacket and shielding, ensuring firm mechanical engagement and conductive contact with any cable braid or foil. Verify electrical continuity and data transmission after termination.

Recommendations

Use the connector with cables that match the 8.5 mm inner diameter and with proper grounding practices when installing shielded cables. Inspect crimps and seating to prevent intermittent connections. For installations in high-vibration or outdoor environments, pair the connector with suitable strain relief and sealing measures.
