GIRA System 55 2-gang rocker cover plate in anthracite is a replaceable front panel designed for two rocker switches within the modular System 55 frame. The cover plate provides a uniform, low-profile appearance while allowing access to the underlying switch mechanism without rewiring. Its anthracite finish matches modern interior palettes and is intended for use in residential and commercial spaces where modular compatibility and visual consistency are required.

Advantages

The cover plate offers a simple way to update or repair the visible part of two adjacent rocker switches while preserving the existing System 55 mechanism. Its standardized dimensions ensure compatibility with GIRA System 55 frames and inserts, enabling quick installation and replacement. The anthracite surface is designed to resist everyday handling and to integrate with contemporary decor schemes. This solution reduces downtime and cost compared with replacing complete switch units.

How to use

Turn off power to the switch circuit before starting work. Remove the existing cover plate by unscrewing or releasing the snap-fit fasteners from the System 55 frame. Align the new 2-gang anthracite cover plate over the installed rocker switch mechanism, ensuring that both rocker apertures match the switch positions. Fasten the plate to the System 55 frame using the original screws or by engaging the snap-fit points, and restore power. Verify that each rocker operates freely and that the plate sits flush with the surrounding frame.

Recommendations

Use mild detergent and a soft cloth for cleaning; avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents. For safety, ensure power is isolated while fitting or removing the cover plate. When combining with other System 55 components, check color and surface finish samples to maintain visual consistency.
