How to use

Secure the workpiece and select the appropriate HSS drill size for the screw or threaded rod. Use the drill guide bush to centre the drill on the screw or rod and drill a pilot hole to the required depth. Choose the matching extractor (king pin) and drive it into the pre-drilled hole with a hammer until its flanks engage the material. Fit the adapter onto the extractor and turn with a screw spanner or adjustable wrench to unscrew and remove the damaged fastener.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection and gloves). Use steady, controlled drilling to avoid further thread damage. For heavily corroded fasteners, apply penetrating oil before starting and work incrementally with the correct drill and extractor sizes. Store the set in its case to protect tools and parts.
