Advantages

The one-handed SIVA strainer enables controlled and even sifting of dry ingredients and precise draining thanks to its fine stainless steel mesh and stable plastic rim. Its compact size makes it convenient for smaller portions and for tasks that require accuracy, such as decorating cakes or dusting powdered sugar. The combination of plastic and stainless steel ensures a lightweight tool that resists rust and is simple to maintain.

Key specifications

• Shape: Round
• Diameter: 10.5 cm
• Depth: 205 mm
• Frame material: Plastic
• Sieve material: Stainless steel mesh
• Finish: Black and stainless steel

How to use

Hold the strainer by the plastic rim with one hand over the bowl, pan or work surface. For dry ingredients, place the ingredient into the sieve and gently tap or shake to achieve an even distribution; for finer results, use a spoon to help move the ingredient through the mesh. For rinsing, place the food into the sieve and run water over it while holding the strainer above the sink. After use, rinse the sieve under running water and, if necessary, wash with warm soapy water then dry thoroughly to maintain the stainless steel mesh.

Recommendations

Use the SIVA strainer for small-portion tasks and delicate finishing: sieving flour for precise baking measurements, dusting powdered sugar on pastries, or rinsing berries. Avoid heavy-duty tasks that could deform the plastic rim or damage the mesh; do not use with very hot liquids that exceed normal food preparation temperatures. Regularly inspect and clean the mesh to prevent clogging and ensure consistent performance.
