The Kensington A1020 Boom Arm is a desk-mounted boom microphone stand designed to provide flexible positioning for microphones, webcams and lighting while keeping a professional and organised workspace. The arm supports multiple mounting thread sizes (3/8", 1/4" and 5/8") and includes a C-clamp, clip-on cable holder and adapters to accommodate a variety of desk setups and accessory types. With extensive horizontal (826 mm) and vertical (949 mm) extension capability and a maximum height of 109.5 cm, the A1020 delivers stable support in a compact black finish and is covered by a 2-year warranty.
The A1020 provides smooth 360° arm rotation and top-mount unobstructed movement, enabling quick repositioning of microphones, cameras or lights without reconnecting components. A wide, durable clamp secures to desks up to 88.9 mm thick for stable installation, while the integrated cable management channel keeps cords organised and out of the workspace. The boom arm is part of Kensington’s Professional Video Conferencing ecosystem and meets MIL-STD-810H Method 504.3 for contamination by fluids with disinfectants with no visual degradation or loss of function after testing.
Attach the C-clamp to the edge of a suitable desk (up to 88.9 mm thick) and tighten securely. Mount the boom arm to the top of the clamp, then fit your microphone, webcam or light using the appropriate adapter (3/8", 1/4" or 5/8"). Route cables through the clip-on cable holder and the integrated cable management channel to keep cords organised. Adjust horizontal and vertical arm positions and rotate the arm up to 360° to achieve the desired angle and distance for optimal capture.
For stable performance, ensure the clamp is tightened to a firm but not excessive torque and verify that the attached accessory weight is supported by the boom arm. Clean surfaces with compatible disinfectants following manufacturer guidance; the product passed MIL-STD-810H Method 504.3 testing for contamination by fluids with disinfectants with no visual degradation or inability to use as directed.
