Tesa flex 4163 is a narrow, general-purpose adhesive tape with a 19 mm width designed for everyday bonding, repairs and temporary holds. The tape combines a flexible carrier with a pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide consistent stickiness on a variety of surfaces. Its slim format and easy tearing make it practical for use in home DIY tasks, office repairs and workshop applications where a compact, reliable tape is required.

Advantages

The product delivers dependable adhesion on paper, cardboard, plastic and many painted surfaces while remaining easy to handle due to its flexible backing. Its narrow width permits precise application in confined areas and along edges. The pressure-sensitive adhesive makes application quick without the need for heat or special tools, and the tape can be torn by hand for fast use. The construction is intended to provide short-term holding power and convenient removability in non-critical applications.

• Temporary bundling and cable securing
• Office tasks such as sealing envelopes and attaching notes
• General DIY and workshop quick fixes
• Masking small areas for light painting or marking

Key specifications

• Width: 19 mm
• Adhesive type: pressure-sensitive adhesive
• Backing: flexible carrier suitable for hand tearing
• Typical uses: general bonding, temporary fixing and bundling
• Format: narrow roll for precise application

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust or grease before applying the tape. Unroll the required length and press the tape firmly onto the surface to achieve full contact. For a neat finish, align the tape carefully and smooth it down from the centre toward the edges. The tape can be torn by hand; use scissors for a precise cut if needed. For temporary holds, remove the tape by peeling it back slowly at a low angle to reduce residue.

Recommendations

For best results, apply the tape at room temperature on smooth, non-porous or lightly porous surfaces. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure and heavy loads; use more robust, permanent tapes for outdoor or structural applications. Test on an inconspicuous area if surface sensitivity or paint removal is a concern.
