How to use

Mount the WGS-4215-16P2S on a wall, inside an enclosure or on DIN rail using the provided mounting options and front-access design for cabling and LED monitoring. Connect Gigabit RJ-45 devices and insert SFP transceivers into the mini-GBIC slots for fiber uplink if long-distance extension is required. Configure network settings, VLANs, PoE schedules and security policies through the web GUI or via SNMP/Telnet/SSH according to your network design. Use the PD alive check and scheduled power recycling to maintain uptime of PoE devices such as cameras and access points.

Recommendations

Use PoE schedule and per-port power monitoring to reduce energy consumption and power-cycle non-responsive PDs with the PD alive check rather than performing manual reboots.
