The Bahco MTB-3-16-M 3 m tape measure is a compact measuring tool designed for accurate, everyday length checks. With a 3 metre blade and a lightweight 155 g body, this tape measure combines portability and durability. The casing uses black, orange and yellow colours for improved visibility on job sites and in workshops, while the blade markings provide clear metric graduations for straightforward readings.

Advantages

This tape measure offers a combination of precise metric measurement, simple one-hand operation and a low weight that makes it easy to carry. The brightly coloured casing enhances visibility and reduces the chance of misplacing the tool. Its compact size fits pockets or tool belts, and the robust case material resists everyday wear. The blade returns smoothly and locks securely when needed, supporting repeatable measurements.

Suitable for

• Carpentry and woodworking tasks
• Interior fitting and furniture assembly
• DIY home improvements and repairs
• Quick on-site measurements for tradespeople
• Hobby and craft measuring

Key specifications

• Measuring range: 3 metres
• Weight: approximately 155 g
• Casing colours: black, orange and yellow for high visibility
• Measurement units: metric graduations (millimetres and centimetres)
• Form factor: compact tape measure suitable for pocket or belt carry

How to use

Hold the casing in one hand and extend the blade to the required length. Use the tip hook to anchor the blade on the measurement start point, or press the end against the target for inside measurements. Read the metric markings directly from the blade at eye level for the most accurate result. Engage the lock mechanism if you need to hold the blade extended for marking or transferring dimensions. Retract the blade smoothly by releasing the lock and guiding the blade back into the case to avoid sudden snaps.

Recommendations

For best long-term performance, avoid letting the blade snap back uncontrolled and keep the tape measure clean from dust and debris. Store the tool in a dry place and inspect the blade tip and case periodically for damage. Use the visible casing colours to keep the tool accessible on busy job sites.
