For measurements on metal surfaces, attach the magnetic hook to the metal edge or fastening point to secure the tape. After measuring, press the release to rewind the blade into the housing, guiding the blade with your hand if necessary to avoid rapid retraction.

Recommendations

Keep the blade clean and dry to preserve the nylon-bonded coating; avoid dropping the tape measure from height to maintain accuracy. Use the magnetic hook for single-person measurements on metal elements and store the tool in a dry place when not in use.
