Modelovacia hmota Staedtler FIMO air basic 8100 béžová 500 g

FIMO air basic 8100 Beige is an air-drying modeling clay designed for adults and hobbyists who need a pliable, easy-to-shape material. Supplied in a 500 g block, this beige modeling clay does not require oven curing — it dries at room temperature to form a stable, lightweight structure. The formulation provides fine texture and moderate elasticity during shaping, enabling creation of detailed models, decorative items, and repair parts for crafts.

Advantages

The clay is ready to use straight from the package and can be worked with common modeling tools and molds. Air drying removes the need for special equipment, and the finished surfaces are easy to sand, paint, or varnish. Its consistency balances softness for detail work with enough firmness to keep shapes intact while drying. The neutral beige color serves as a base for painting or glazing without strong underlying hues.

Suitable for

• Hand-sculpted figures and small statues
• Decorative elements and home craft projects
• School and workshop modelling where oven use is not available
• Prototyping small shapes and accessories

How to use

Prepare a clean, dry working surface and condition the clay by kneading until it is uniformly soft. Shape the material by hand or with modelling tools and attachments; join pieces by slightly moistening contact areas to improve adhesion. Allow the assembled object to dry at room temperature; drying time depends on thickness and ambient humidity — thin sections dry faster while thicker parts may require extended time. After full drying, refine the surface with fine sandpaper and apply paint or varnish as needed.

Recommendations

Store unused clay in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic to prevent premature drying. Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid exposure to high humidity during storage. For even drying of thicker pieces, consider hollowing large volumes or drying in stages. Follow the manufacturer's safety instructions on the package regarding skin contact and disposal.
