Nabíjací kábel pre elektromobily DEFA eMove Mode 2 8A 6 m Type 2 – Schuko

DEFA eMove Mode 2 charging cable is a portable charging lead designed for occasional charging of electric vehicles from standard mains sockets. The cable is 6 m long and rated for 8 A, with a Type 2 vehicle connector on one end and a Schuko (domestic) plug on the other. It provides Mode 2 functionality for basic in-cable control and protection suited to low-current charging situations when a dedicated EV charging station is unavailable.

Advantages

This DEFA eMove cable combines a Type 2 vehicle connector with a Schuko mains plug to enable convenient, low-current charging from household outlets. The 6 m length offers flexibility in positioning the vehicle relative to the power source. Mode 2 functionality integrates simple control and safety features appropriate for occasional use at public or private sockets, and the cable’s construction is intended for portable, on-the-go handling and storage.

Suitable for

• Occasional overnight or emergency charging from domestic sockets
• Travelling when dedicated charging stations are not available
• Owners of EVs equipped with a Type 2 inlet requiring low-current charging
• Short-term charging at workplaces or locations without dedicated EV chargers

Key specifications

• Cable length: 6 m
• Rated current: 8 A
• Vehicle connector: Type 2
• Mains plug: Schuko (Type F) domestic plug
• Charging mode: Mode 2 (in-cable control and protection)

How to use

Connect the Type 2 plug to the vehicle inlet and insert the Schuko plug into a properly grounded domestic socket. Ensure the socket and circuit are in good condition and can safely carry the rated 8 A current. Activate the vehicle’s charging system if required, and monitor the charge progress via the vehicle’s dashboard or charging indicator. After charging, disconnect the mains plug before removing the Type 2 connector from the vehicle, coil the cable for storage, and keep it dry and protected when not in use.

Recommendations

Use this cable for occasional, low-current charging only. Avoid long-term continuous use on circuits shared with high-power appliances. Verify the electrical installation and socket condition before each use, and do not use the cable if the connectors, insulation, or control unit show visible damage.
