ASRock Steel Legend SL-1200G 1200W ATX 80+ Gold is a high-capacity desktop power supply designed to deliver continuous and efficient power for demanding systems. With a nominal 1200W output and 80+ Gold efficiency rating, this ATX unit is intended for gaming PCs, workstations and content-creation rigs that require stable voltage rails and reliable thermal management. The enclosure follows standard ATX form factor for compatibility with most full- and mid-tower cases and integrates features aimed at maintaining steady performance under sustained loads.

Advantages

The unit provides a high continuous wattage suitable for multi-GPU and overclocked configurations while the 80+ Gold certification ensures improved energy efficiency and reduced heat generation compared with lower-rated models. Built-in voltage regulation and protection functions help maintain system stability and protect connected components from common power issues. The ATX form factor and standardized connectors simplify installation and cable routing in typical desktop builds.

Suitable for

• High-end gaming desktops with multiple GPUs or power-hungry components
• Workstations for 3D rendering, video editing and scientific computing
• Content-creation rigs with multiple storage drives and expansion cards
• Systems requiring long-term stable power delivery and efficient operation

Key specifications

• Output power: 1200 watts continuous
• Efficiency rating: 80+ Gold for improved energy conversion
• Form factor: ATX standard compatible with most full- and mid-tower enclosures
• Suitable for multi-GPU and high-load component configurations
• Integrated voltage regulation and standard protection features (OVP, OCP, SCP, etc.)

How to use

Install the power supply in a compatible ATX chassis following the case manufacturer’s instructions, aligning the mounting holes and securing the unit with the supplied screws. Connect the motherboard 24-pin and CPU 4/8-pin power connectors first, then attach PCIe power cables to graphics cards and SATA/Molex connectors to storage and peripherals as required. Ensure all connectors are fully seated and that cable routing does not obstruct airflow. Verify switch settings (if present) and connect the unit to a grounded AC outlet through a suitable power cable before powering on the system.

Recommendations

For optimal lifespan and performance, operate the power supply in a well-ventilated case with adequate airflow, keep dust accumulation to a minimum, and avoid continuous operation at or near maximum rated output. Use a surge protector or UPS in areas with unstable mains power to protect the system from electrical transients.
