Advantages

This 120W AC power adapter offers consistent power delivery suitable for higher‑performance HP notebooks that require increased wattage. Its design follows HP power specifications for safe charging and operation, and the adapter includes common protection features such as overload and short‑circuit protection. The compact external brick and integrated cable arrangement make it convenient to store and carry, while the standardized AC input ensures compatibility with common mains supplies in regions that match the adapter's input rating.

Suitable for

• Replacing an original or damaged HP laptop power adapter
• Keeping as a spare adapter for travel or a secondary workplace
• Providing stable power for charging and operation of compatible HP notebooks
• Use in environments where a reliable 120W power source is required

Key specifications

• Output power: 120 W
• Output type: DC output matched to HP laptop connector
• Input: standard mains AC input (voltage and frequency per adapter labeling)
• Protection features: overload and short‑circuit protection
• Form factor: external inline power brick with attached cables

How to use

Connect the adapter to a compatible mains outlet using the supplied AC cable, then plug the DC output connector into the laptop's power input socket. Verify that the laptop accepts the adapter and that charging or mains operation begins; the laptop's charge indicator or operating system should show AC power connected. If the laptop does not recognize the adapter, disconnect and inspect the connector and ports for debris or damage and try again. Use the adapter on a flat, ventilated surface and avoid covering the power brick during operation to prevent overheating.

Recommendations

Confirm compatibility with your HP notebook model and the laptop's required wattage before use. Use the adapter with a properly rated mains outlet and avoid exposing it to liquids, extreme temperatures, or prolonged direct sunlight. If the adapter becomes unusually hot, emits odor, or shows visible damage, discontinue use and replace it. For stable performance, connect directly to the laptop rather than through unregulated extension cords or adapters that could affect voltage delivery.
