The adapter is compatible with devices that accept HP smart adapter interfacing and supports continuous use during intensive workloads.

Advantages

The adapter provides a rated 150 W output to support demanding laptops and peripherals, ensuring sufficient power for CPU and GPU-intensive tasks while charging the battery. Built for AC mains input, it maintains stable voltage and current under typical operating conditions. Its design includes smart communication with compatible laptops to manage charge state and power negotiation. The adapter offers a single compact solution for users who need increased wattage compared with lower-powered chargers.

Suitable for

• Charging and powering high-performance HP laptops during heavy workloads
• Users running graphics, engineering or compute-intensive applications
• Mobile professionals who require longer sessions away from docked power
• Replacement for original HP smart adapters with similar power requirements

Key specifications

• Output power: 150 W
• Input: mains AC supply (standard voltage range for laptop adapters)
• Adapter type: external AC-to-DC laptop power supply (smart adapter)
• Functionality: battery charging and powering laptop under load
• Form factor: compact external brick with DC connector cable

How to use

Connect the adapter to a compatible mains outlet using the supplied AC mains lead, then plug the DC connector into the laptop's power inlet. Ensure the laptop recognizes the smart adapter and begins charging; the system should report charging status through its power indicator or operating-system battery icon. For continuous operation, keep the adapter in a well-ventilated area to avoid overheating and periodically inspect the cable and connector for wear or damage.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with compatible HP laptops that accept smart adapters and 150 W power input. Avoid using the adapter in excessively dusty, wet, or high-temperature environments. If the laptop or adapter shows signs of overheating, disconnect and allow components to cool before resuming use. For optimal longevity, store the adapter in a dry place and disconnect from mains when not in prolonged use.
