Merten 296119 is a single-gang white wall plate made of durable thermoplastic. Designed to cover and finish wall switch openings, this one-piece switch cover offers a clean, uniform appearance while providing basic protection for internal wiring and switch mechanisms in residential and commercial interiors. The neutral white finish integrates with a wide range of décor and works with most standard switch mechanisms.

Advantages

The thermoplastic construction ensures resistance to cracking and discoloration under normal indoor conditions while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. As a single-piece design it simplifies installation and reduces visible seams. The neutral white surface is suitable for repainting or trimming if a customized finish is required. The cover is compatible with common single-gang mountings, offering a straightforward replacement or upgrade option.

How to use

Turn off the power to the switch circuit before beginning installation. Remove the existing cover plate and verify that the underlying electrical box and switch mechanism are securely mounted. After installation, restore power and check the switch operation. If painting is required, use paints suitable for thermoplastic surfaces and follow the paint manufacturer’s instructions for adhesion and drying.
