The Bosch Universal HedgeCut 18V-50 is a lightweight battery-powered hedge trimmer designed for domestic gardening tasks. Weighing 2.6 kg and powered by an 18V 2.5 Ah battery, it combines mobility with sufficient runtime for routine trimming of hedges and bushes. Advantages

This hedge trimmer offers an effective balance of power and portability, driven by its 18V 2.5 Ah battery which delivers cordless freedom without excessive weight. The low overall mass of 2.6 kg improves maneuverability when working around branches and contours, enhancing control and precision. The compact design enables access to tighter spaces and simplifies storage, while the cutting system is engineered to produce a neat finish on hedgerows and ornamental shrubs.

Suitable for

• Trimming domestic hedges and small to medium bushes
• Shaping ornamental shrubs and garden edges
• Light maintenance pruning of non-woody or lightly woody growth
• Gardening tasks requiring portable, cordless tools

Key specifications

• Weight: 2.6 kg for easy handling
• Power source: rechargeable 18V battery with 2.5 Ah capacity
• Design: compact and balanced for improved manoeuvrability
• Cutting capability: suited to green and semi-woody branches typical of hedges and shrubs

How to use

Before use, ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted following the tool manufacturer’s instructions. Hold the hedge trimmer with both hands using the designated grips, maintain a stable stance and move the blade smoothly along the hedge at a controlled speed for uniform cutting. For best results, approach pruning from the base upwards and make several light passes rather than forcing large cuts in a single pass. After use, disconnect the battery and clean accumulated debris from the blades and housing.

Recommendations

For safe and optimal operation, wear appropriate eye and hand protection, and check for hidden obstacles such as wires or garden ties before cutting. Use the tool for routine maintenance rather than heavy-duty felling; allow the battery to cool between extended use periods and store the hedge trimmer in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
