Protective mechanic mat ks tools 500.8040 L480×B320×H36 mm is a compact, portable surface protector designed for use in garages, workshops and mobile service settings. The mat provides a barrier against scratches, dirt and fluids on vehicle surfaces and workbenches while mechanics handle parts, tools and routine maintenance tasks. Its slim profile and flexible construction allow it to be positioned under components, on vehicle panels or atop benches without adding bulk or interfering with access.

Advantages

The mat combines a durable outer layer with a slightly cushioned interior to reduce the risk of surface damage and to contain spills. Its dimensions make it large enough to cover small panels and tool clusters while remaining easy to transport and store. The low height profile keeps tools and parts stable and prevents them from rolling off during work. The material resists common workshop fluids and wipes clean with standard shop cleaners or a damp cloth.

Suitable for

• Protecting vehicle body panels, bumpers and fenders during repairs
• Covering workbench surfaces when disassembling components
• Providing a clean, non-abrasive area for placing tools, fasteners and small parts
• Use in mobile service and roadside maintenance where temporary surface protection is required

Key specifications

• Overall dimensions: 480 mm × 320 mm × 36 mm
• Portable, slim profile suitable for tight spaces
• Cushioned construction to absorb minor impacts and prevent scratches
• Surface resistant to oils, greases and common workshop fluids
• Wipe-clean material compatible with standard cleaning agents

How to use

Place the mat on the area to be protected, ensuring full contact with the surface to avoid trapping dirt underneath. Position the mat so that tools and parts rest securely on its cushioned surface. After use, wipe away any spills or residues with a damp cloth or appropriate cleaner; allow the mat to dry before rolling or stacking for storage. For transport, fold or roll according to the mat's flexible construction and secure it to prevent unintentional unfolding.

Recommendations

Store the mat in a clean, dry location away from direct heat sources. Inspect the mat periodically for deep cuts or damage that could expose the underlying layers; replace if the protective function is compromised. Avoid prolonged exposure to aggressive solvents that are not recommended for wipe-clean maintenance.
