Ochranný kryt kábla ShiverPeaks 72057-B

The ShiverPeaks 72057-B cable boot is a protective accessory designed for RJ-45 connectors. Molded in blue, it covers the plug housing and latch area to reduce strain on the cable, protect the connector clip from catching or breaking, and improve overall durability of Ethernet and data cabling. The boot fits over standard RJ-45 plugs and is intended for use where connector protection and reliable physical performance are needed.

Advantages

The cable boot provides mechanical protection for the RJ-45 plug and its latch, minimizing the risk of clip damage during insertion, removal, or cable movement. Made from flexible material, it relieves strain at the cable-connector junction, which can extend the lifespan of cables in frequent-use or high-movement environments. The blue color allows for visual identification and simple cable organization while maintaining compatibility with standard RJ-45 connectors.

Suitable for

• Protecting Ethernet patch cables in office and data center environments
• Home networking and multimedia cabling where connector strain relief is needed
• Industrial or workshop settings with frequent cable handling
• Cable management and color-coded installations

Key specifications

• Compatible connector type: RJ-45 (8P8C) plugs
• Material: flexible polymer for strain relief and clip protection
• Color: blue for visual identification and color-coding
• Form factor: snap-on boot that fits over standard plug housing and latch
• Intended use: protection and mechanical reinforcement of cable-connector junction

How to use

To install, slide the boot over the cable before crimping the RJ-45 connector, or, for pre-terminated cables designed for removable boots, align the boot over the plug and press it into place so the latch area is covered. Ensure the boot sits flush against the plug housing and that the cable jacket is supported within the boot to provide strain relief. Removal is done by gently pulling the boot away from the plug while taking care not to stress the cable or connector clip.

Recommendations

Use the cable boot on cables that experience regular handling, bending, or movement to reduce plug wear and latch breakage. Match boot color to your cable management scheme for easier identification. Avoid using boots that are excessively tight on the plug to prevent damage during installation; select the correct size for standard RJ-45 plugs.
