Optická mechanika Acer GP.ODD11.001 DVD±RW čierna USB 3.2

The Acer GP.ODD11.001 DVD±RW Black USB 3.2 is an external optical disc drive for laptops that provides slot-loading access to CDs and DVDs. Its compact black enclosure connects via USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also referred to as USB 3.1 Gen 1) to deliver higher transfer rates than USB 2.0, and it supports common disc formats for reading and writing. The drive is intended for users who need occasional optical media access without an internal drive.

Advantages

This DVD±RW drive offers a slim, portable form factor and a slot-loading mechanism that eliminates the need for an eject tray. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface enables faster data throughput when supported by the host, improving burn and read times compared with older USB standards. Support for multiple writable formats provides flexibility for creating audio CDs, backing up files to DVD, or installing software from optical media. The black finish integrates unobtrusively with most laptop designs.

Suitable for

• Installing software or operating systems from DVD or CD media
• Playing commercial DVDs and audio CDs on laptops without an internal drive
• Creating backup discs and archiving data to DVD or CD
• Burning audio CDs and creating media for legacy devices

How to use

Connect the drive to a laptop or desktop using the supplied USB cable and allow the operating system to detect and install any necessary drivers automatically. Insert discs into the slot with the labeled side facing up; the mechanism will pull the disc in and engage the reading or writing process. Use your preferred media player or disc-burning software to play, read, or write content. Safely eject discs via the operating system before removing them to avoid data corruption.

Recommendations

Use a direct USB port on the computer rather than a hub for optimal power and performance. When burning discs at higher speeds, use good-quality media and avoid moving the drive during operation to reduce the risk of write errors. Store the drive unplugged and in a dry place when not in use, and keep discs clean and free of scratches for reliable reading and writing.
