Key specifications

• Interface: PCIe (NVMe)
• Supported drive form factor: 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSD
• Drive bay type: hot‑swappable front-access bay
• Material and finish: black and silver enclosure designed for tool-free handling
• Compatibility: designed for systems with available PCIe expansion slot and U.2 NVMe drives

How to use

Install the adapter into an available PCIe slot in accordance with your system manual, ensuring the system is powered down and unplugged during installation. Insert a compatible 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSD into the bay until it seats securely and engage any locking mechanism provided by the enclosure. Power on the system and verify drive detection in the operating system or BIOS/UEFI. For hot-swap operations, follow your system's hot-plug procedures to avoid data loss before removing or inserting drives while the host remains powered.

Recommendations

Use enterprise-grade U.2 NVMe SSDs for critical applications and maintain regular backups prior to performing drive swaps. Verify that your motherboard and operating system support NVMe over PCIe and hot-plug functionality. Avoid excessive force when inserting or removing drives and ensure proper grounding to prevent electrostatic discharge.
