Pečacia panvica Staub 40509-509-0 12 L liatina čierna

The Staub 40509-509-0 roasting pan is a cast iron cookware piece with a 12 L capacity and a 41 cm diameter, designed for large-scale roasting tasks. Its heavy-gauge construction provides high heat retention and even heat distribution across the cooking surface, suitable for slow roasting and high-temperature finishes. The black enamel finish on the exterior and interior offers a durable, easy-to-clean surface while preserving the natural cooking qualities of cast iron.

Advantages

Cast iron construction ensures consistent heat retention and uniform cooking results, reducing hot spots and promoting even browning. The 12 L capacity and wide diameter provide ample space for whole poultry, large joints of meat, or multiple vegetables. The enamelled surface resists sticking and simplifies maintenance compared with bare cast iron. The robust build supports long-term use and performs well on a variety of heat sources including ovens and stovetops.

How to use

Preheat the oven or stovetop to the desired temperature before placing food in the roasting pan to ensure even cooking. Lightly coat the internal surface with oil or use a small amount of fat to reduce sticking when roasting meats or vegetables. For best results with large cuts, sear on the stovetop first to develop color, then transfer to the oven to finish cooking evenly. Use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when handling the pan, as the cast iron retains heat for an extended period.

Recommendations

Use moderate oven temperatures for prolonged braising and higher temperatures for final browning. Avoid sudden temperature shocks such as placing a hot pan under cold water. Clean with warm water and a soft brush; avoid harsh detergents or metal scouring that can damage the enamel. Dry thoroughly and store in a dry place to maintain the enamelled finish.
