Podložka pod koberec / protišmyková podložka Tesa 56167-00000-11, béžová, 1500 x 800 mm

Tesa 56167-00000-11 is a beige anti-slip rug underlay measuring 1500 x 800 mm designed to keep area rugs, runners and mats securely in place on hard floor surfaces. The thin, flexible pad provides friction between the rug and the floor to reduce movement, bunching and curling of edges while also offering mild cushioning and protection for both the floor and the carpet backing. Intended for domestic and light commercial settings, this underlay is suitable for use beneath a variety of carpet types on wood, laminate, tile and vinyl floors.

Advantages

The Tesa anti-slip underlay delivers consistent grip to minimise slippage without adhesive residues. Its lightweight, conformable construction makes it easy to cut to size and position, while remaining discreet under rugs. By stabilising rugs and runners it reduces tripping hazards and prolongs the appearance of both floor and textile by preventing constant friction and localized wear.

Suitable for

• Area rugs and runners on wooden, laminate or tiled floors
• Doorway mats and small decorative carpets
• Light office carpets where temporary stabilisation is needed
• Situations where non-adhesive, residue-free grip is preferred

When it may not be suitable

This underlay is intended for use on hard, smooth flooring; it may perform less effectively on very textured or highly absorbent surfaces. It is not designed as a replacement for heavy-duty anti-slip systems where industrial-strength anchoring is required, nor is it a substitute for thick carpet padding where significant impact absorption or sound insulation is needed.

Key specifications

• Colour: beige
• Dimensions: 1500 mm × 800 mm
• Material type: flexible anti-slip backing (non-adhesive)
• Designed for hard floor surfaces such as wood, laminate, tile and vinyl
• Thin profile suitable for placing under low-pile rugs and runners

How to use

Place the underlay on a clean, dry floor with the textured side facing up. Lay the rug or runner over the pad, aligning edges as needed, and trim the underlay with scissors or a utility knife to fit smaller rugs. For best performance, ensure both the floor and the underside of the rug are free from dust and debris. Periodically lift the rug and clean the underlay and floor surface to maintain optimal grip.

What to consider before purchase

• Measure the rug and the intended area to confirm the 1500 × 800 mm size is appropriate or that trimming is acceptable
• Check floor type — best suited to hard, smooth surfaces rather than very textured floors
• Consider pile height; very thick or cushioned carpets may require a different underlay
• If permanent anchoring or heavy-duty slip prevention is needed, evaluate industrial alternatives

Recommendations

For long-lasting performance, keep the floor and rug underside clean, replace the pad if it becomes worn or compressed, and avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods which may affect material properties. Trim to size carefully to maintain even coverage and edge stability.
