Pracovná stanica Lenovo ThinkStation P8 s AMD Threadripper PRO 9945WX 4,7–5,4 GHz, 64 GB DDR5, 1 TB SSD, Windows 11 Pro

Lenovo ThinkStation P8 is a professional tower workstation powered by an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9945WX processor with a base frequency of 4.7 GHz and boost up to 5.4 GHz. The system ships with 64 GB of DDR5-6400 ECC memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD for fast local storage. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled and a 1000 W power supply provides headroom for demanding workloads.

Advantages

This workstation combines high single-core and multi-core performance of the Threadripper PRO 9945WX with fast DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 SSD performance, making it suitable for compute-intensive professional tasks. The preinstalled Windows 11 Pro and a robust 1000 W power supply simplify deployment in professional environments.

Suitable for

• CAD and engineering design
• 3D modelling and rendering
• Scientific computing and simulations
• Content creation, video editing and post-production

When it may not be suitable

The system does not include a discrete graphics card by default, so GPU-accelerated workflows may require an additional graphics card purchase. Its tower form factor and 22.7 kg weight make it less suitable for frequent transport or compact-desk setups.

Key specifications

• Processor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9945WX, 12 cores / 24 threads, 4.7 GHz base, up to 5.4 GHz boost
• Memory: 64 GB DDR5-6400 ECC (1 × 64 GB)
• Storage: 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD (PCIe 5.0)
• Operating system: Windows 11 Pro (preinstalled)
• Power supply: 1000 W
• Network: Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbit/s
• Weight: 22.7 kg

How to use

Set the workstation on a stable, well-ventilated surface and connect power and network cables. Complete the Windows 11 Pro initial setup and install any vendor drivers or management software if required. For GPU-accelerated tasks, install a compatible discrete graphics card into an available expansion slot and install the appropriate drivers. Regularly update the operating system and drivers to maintain performance and security.

What to consider before purchase

• Discrete graphics card is not included by default — check GPU requirements for your applications.
• Confirm upgrade paths (additional memory slots, PCIe slots) if future expansion is planned.
• Ensure your workspace can accommodate a tower workstation and supports its weight and cooling needs.

Recommendations

For optimal performance in multi-threaded workloads, enable any recommended BIOS settings from Lenovo for Threadripper PRO platforms, keep the system in a cool environment, and use ECC memory where supported by your applications. If you rely on GPU acceleration, choose a workstation-class graphics card with sufficient VRAM and install manufacturer drivers certified for professional applications.
