Prenosný WLAN router ASUS RT-AX50 Go, Dualband 2,4/5 GHz, Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax), 1501 Mbit/s, biely

The ASUS RT-AX50 Go is a portable wireless router designed to provide secure, high-performance Wi‑Fi in a compact form factor. Supporting dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operation with Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax), it delivers up to 1501 Mbps aggregate throughput. The unit includes one RJ‑45 WAN/LAN port, a USB port, two external antennas and supports modern security standards including WPA2/WPA3 personal. Built for travel, small-home deployments and hotspot use, it also offers flexible connection modes and OpenVPN client compatibility.

Advantages

The router combines Wi‑Fi 6 performance with a pocketable design, enabling faster wireless speeds and improved capacity compared with previous standards while remaining easy to carry. Multiple connection modes allow the device to operate as a conventional router, a private hotspot over public Wi‑Fi (WISP mode) or to use mobile tethering for Internet access. Integrated VPN client support, including compatibility with common providers, helps maintain privacy and secure remote access. USB Type‑C power and a single Ethernet port simplify setup and reduce the need for extra accessories.

Suitable for

• Travel and business trips where portable secure Wi‑Fi is required

• Mobile offices, pop‑up events and outdoor hotspots
• Users needing VPN client support for secure remote connections

How to use

Power the RT‑AX50 Go via the USB Type‑C connector and connect an Internet source to the RJ‑45 port or attach a compatible USB modem. Configure wireless settings and security using the web interface or mobile setup tools provided by the manufacturer. Choose the appropriate operating mode (router, WISP, or tethering) depending on available networks and intended use. If required, enable the OpenVPN client and enter your VPN provider credentials to secure traffic through an encrypted tunnel.

Recommendations

Place the router in a central, elevated location to maximize wireless coverage and avoid obstruction by large metallic objects. Use the 5 GHz band for latency‑sensitive tasks and the 2.4 GHz band for longer range. Keep firmware updated and configure WPA3 where possible for stronger security; when using public networks, enable the VPN client to protect data in transit.
