Privacy Screen Filter Kensington EQ156A169E 15.6'' notebooky 16:9

The Kensington EQ Privacy Screen Filter is designed for 15.6" laptops with a 16:9 aspect ratio and is made with up to 54% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. It narrows the viewing angle to ±30° to protect sensitive on-screen information in busy offices and public spaces, reduces blue light to ease eye strain, and adds scratch resistance to help protect the display. The reversible matte/glossy surface and touchscreen compatibility make it suitable for different workflows and device types, while frameless tab holders or double-sided tape offer flexible installation options. The product is shipped in FSC® certified packaging and includes a 2-year limited warranty.

Advantages

The filter offers privacy protection by limiting side viewing to ±30°, lowers blue light exposure to reduce potential eye strain, and has an anti-reflective coating to decrease glare. Its reversible matte and glossy sides provide viewing flexibility and the scratch-resistant finish increases durability. Constructed with up to 54% PCR plastic and packaged sustainably, it supports reduced environmental impact. The filter is touchscreen compatible and meets MIL-STD-810H Method 504.3 for wipe-down contamination by fluids.

How to use

Clean the laptop screen with a lint-free cloth and the supplied cleaning materials if provided. Choose the preferred installation method: attach the included frameless tab holders around the screen edges for an easily removable setup, or apply the double-sided tape for a cleaner, more permanent fit. Align the privacy filter to the screen and press gently to secure. If using the reversible surface, select matte or glossy side according to viewing preference. For touchscreen devices, ensure alignment does not interfere with touch sensitivity.

Recommendations

For best results, avoid using abrasive cleaners on the filter; clean with a soft, damp cloth. When frequently moving between locations, use the frameless tab holders for quick removal and reattachment; for stationary setups, consider double-sided tape for a tidier appearance.
