Proti závažie Skywatcher EQ8 10 kg – 10 kg teleskopické proti závažie pre Sky-Watcher EQ8 montáž

Counterweight Skywatcher EQ8 10 kg is a 10 kg metal counterweight made for balancing Sky-Watcher EQ8 equatorial mounts. It provides a compact, dense mass to counterbalance heavy optical tubes, cameras, guide scopes and accessory loads on the EQ8 mount. The counterweight helps maintain stable mass distribution, reducing strain on mount gears and motors and supporting improved tracking precision during long-exposure astrophotography and steady visual observing.

Advantages

This 10 kg counterweight is machined for a secure fit on the standard EQ8 counterweight shaft and offers consistent mass for repeatable balancing. Its metal construction delivers high density in a relatively small volume, which simplifies placement on the counterweight bar and allows finer balance adjustments. By ensuring proper balance it reduces motor load and potential periodic error impacts on tracking.

Suitable for

• Balancing large-aperture optical tubes on Sky-Watcher EQ8 mounts
• Astrophotography setups requiring precise tracking
• Visual observing with additional accessories (cameras, finders, guide scopes)
• Portable field use when a single 10 kg mass is sufficient for balance

Key specifications

• Mass: 10 kg nominal
• Material: metal (dense construction for compact size)
• Compatibility: designed for Sky-Watcher EQ8 counterweight shaft
• Mounting: fits standard counterweight bar used on EQ8 series mounts
• Finish: durable surface suitable for outdoor use

How to use

Slide the counterweight onto the EQ8 counterweight shaft and secure it with the shaft collar or locking screw used on the mount. Adjust the position along the counterweight bar until the mount achieves balance in both right ascension and declination axes; for heavy optical trains it may be necessary to use one or more counterweights and fine-tune positions. Verify balance before powering the mount to minimise motor strain and to achieve optimal tracking performance.

Recommendations

Use this 10 kg counterweight as part of a balanced configuration: combine with additional weights if necessary, and always lock the weight securely on the bar. Balance the mount on both axes before slewing or engaging tracking motors to reduce wear and improve guiding results.
