Puzdro na SSD Unitek S1242AGY01-EU USB4 40 Gbit/s, M.2 NVMe, až do 8 TB, hliník/plast, aktívne chladenie

Unitek S1242AGY01-EU is an external SSD enclosure designed for a single M.2 NVMe drive up to 8 TB. The enclosure provides USB4 Gen 3x2 connectivity with up to 40 Gbit/s transfer speed, an aluminium and plastic body, active cooling and LED indicators. It is bus-powered via USB and supports plug-and-play operation with Windows, macOS and Linux. A USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable is included.

Advantages

The aluminium construction combined with plastic elements ensures a balance of heat dissipation and lightweight portability. Active cooling helps maintain optimal drive temperatures under sustained load, while USB4 Gen 3x2 support delivers high transfer rates up to 40 Gbit/s. LED indicators provide quick visual status, and the enclosure is bus-powered for use without an external power adapter. Plug-and-play compatibility covers major desktop and laptop operating systems.

Suitable for

• High-speed external storage for video editing and large file transfers
• Portable backup and archive of large datasets
• Expanding laptop or desktop NVMe capacity without internal installation
• On-location data capture and transfer where compact, bus-powered storage is needed

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the manufacturer's instructions, insert a compatible M.2 NVMe SSD and secure it in place. Close the enclosure, connect the included USB-C cable between the enclosure and a USB4-capable host port, and allow the system to recognise the drive. No additional drivers are normally required; use the operating system's disk management tools to format or partition the drive if necessary before first use.

Recommendations

For sustained high-throughput tasks such as video editing or large backups, ensure the enclosure's active cooling has unobstructed airflow and avoid prolonged exposure to high ambient temperatures. Use a USB4 Gen 3x2 or compatible host port and high-quality USB-C cable to achieve maximum transfer rates. Regularly check the drive temperature during heavy use and ensure the M.2 SSD is compatible with NVMe protocol and the enclosure's physical size requirements.
