QNAP CAB-SAS05M-8644 externý Mini-SAS-HD kábel, 0,5 m, čierny

In a busy server room, a storage administrator connects a QNAP SAS JBOD expansion unit to a host bus adapter using this 0.5-meter external SAS cable. The four-lane Mini-SAS HD connectors click securely into place, and the 12 Gbit/s link immediately carries data between the controller and the drives.

Key specifications

• External SAS cable with Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644) connectors on both ends
• Supports SAS 12 Gbit/s data transfer rate per lane
• Four lanes for high bandwidth and redundancy
• Cable length: 0.5 metres (50 cm)
• Black PVC jacket with shielding for signal integrity
• Male-to-male connectors, hot-swappable

Why choose it

This cable is built for reliable, high-speed connections in enterprise storage environments. The SFF-8644 connectors are designed for external SAS links, ensuring a secure fit and consistent performance. With 12 Gbit/s per lane and four lanes, it delivers ample bandwidth for demanding workloads. The shielded PVC jacket protects against interference, while the 0.5 m length keeps cable runs tidy without excess slack.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a QNAP SAS JBOD expansion unit to a SAS HBA in a rack server
• Linking external SAS storage enclosures to controllers in data centres
• Replacing or extending existing external SAS cabling in enterprise setups
• Building or upgrading high-availability storage systems

Good to know

The cable is hot-swappable, allowing you to connect or disconnect devices without powering down the system. It is compatible with QNAP SAS JBODs, SAS expansion units, and standard SAS HBAs. The Mini-SAS HD connector is also known as SFF-8644, a widely adopted standard for external SAS connectivity.
