Fiber optic connector: Fiber optic connectors are designed to connect optical fibers. They allow to switch and connect optical lines. LC connectors are used in LAN, WAN and FTTD networks, on railroads, in telecommunication networks, in cable TV networks and in measurement technology. Nowadays, the reflective PC contact technique with fiber end faces allows to achieve the lowest possible loss at the optical connector, while maintaining high level of back reflection. In this type of connectors, back loss is not less than 40 dB. Maintaining such parameters requires high precision of the fiber front, its polishing and maintaining proper curvature of ferrule surrounding the fiber.
