How to use

Position the SMS Console M/L Shelf at the desired U position within the 19-inch rack, aligning the mounting holes with the rack’s vertical rails. Secure the shelf using appropriate rack screws and cage nuts or threaded rails according to the rack’s hardware. Place the console, keyboard or other light equipment on the shelf ensuring the load is centered and does not exceed the rack’s or shelf’s rated capacity. Verify that cables and ventilation paths remain unobstructed after installation.

Recommendations

For stable operation, use the shelf for medium-weight peripherals and avoid concentrated loads at the front edge. Check rack mounting hardware regularly and distribute cables to maintain airflow. If mounting heavier equipment, consult rack load ratings and consider additional support or reinforcement.
